fffc prompt 18.24 — "Slippery"
Title: Once Again
Fandom: The Phantom of the Opera
Characters: Erik/Christine Daae
Word Count: 248
Rating: T
She hadn't expected to fall for him so easily.
But that was how things panned out anyway. Even though Christine tried to be poised, tried to be proper, tried to behave the way she was expected to behave, once she felt the phantom's—Erik's—embrace, she melted against him. That's all it took.
One night, while they were alone with each other, Christine noticed his eyes. How he stopped to stare at her. How he seemed to ache with the desire to discover every inch of her skin. His voice whispered to her, guided her. And when she felt herself heating up like a furnace, he slid his hands along her arms and held her. It was so warm. Christine shivered at the touch. Large hands, clad in dark leather, trailed up her back, sliding over her shoulders. When he forced her against him, she couldn't stop her gasp.
He took it as a cue to touch her lips. As he teased her, her eyes slipped shut, silently begging him to go further. The soft sound of lips pressing together, the heat coming off them—was all so distracting. So completely new and overwhelming, that after less than a minute of kissing, she had to pull away. Just to breathe for a second. But in the process, she tripped over her nightgown and the slippery floor underneath.
Of course, he caught her. It wasn't the first time. And Christine glanced up at him with rosy cheeks to watch him smirk.
